The desktop applications that are available for various platforms (Windows and Mac) have always been diminished in any of its versions. Skype for Mac ; for example, is not on par with the features offered by the version of Windows, but little by little has been benefiting with new and interesting implementations.
Today the beta version of Skype 5.5 for Mac shows that the parity between homologous versions is getting closer because in this future launch have integrated some very nice features among which are a new call interface that offers a quick and easy access to new possibilities.
Within the changes are basic options and were already necessary such as the possibility to mute the microphone during a call, transmit video, screen sharing, send files and more, all this directly from the call interface.
It has also been added the possibility of accepting calls with or without video, something that had not been available before in the application for Mac. Of course, within the other changes include several optimizations that improve the quality of calls as well as bug fixes which benefit the stability of this new version.
